26、矩的目的。手動變速器的換擋操作可以完全遵從駕駛者的意志，且結(jié)構(gòu)簡單、故障率相對較低、價廉物美。自動變速器是根據(jù)車速和負荷（油門踏板的行程）來進行雙參數(shù)控制，擋位根據(jù)上面的兩個參數(shù)來自動升降。自動變速器與手動變速器的共同點，就是二者都屬于有級式變速器，只不過自動變速器可以根據(jù)車速的快慢來自動實現(xiàn)換擋，可以消除手動變速器“頓挫”的換擋感覺。自動變速器是由液力變矩器、行星齒輪和液壓操縱機構(gòu)組成，通過液力傳遞和齒輪組合的方式來達到變速變矩的目的。無級變速器又稱為連續(xù)變速式無級變速器。這種變速器與一般齒輪式自動變速器的最大區(qū)別，是它省去了復雜而又笨重的齒輪組合變速傳動，而只用了兩組帶輪進行變速傳動。無級

27、變速器結(jié)構(gòu)比傳統(tǒng)變速器簡單，體積更小，它既沒有手動變速器的眾多齒輪副，也沒有自動變速器復雜的行星齒輪組，主要靠主動輪、從動輪和傳動帶來實現(xiàn)速比的無級變化。汽車上廣泛采用內(nèi)燃機作為動力源，其轉(zhuǎn)矩和轉(zhuǎn)速的變化范圍很小，而復雜的使用條件要求汽車的驅(qū)動力和車速能在相當大的范圍內(nèi)變化。為解決這一矛盾，在傳動系統(tǒng)中設(shè)置了變速器，用來改變傳動比，擴大驅(qū)動輪轉(zhuǎn)矩和轉(zhuǎn)速的變化范圍，以適應經(jīng)常變化的行駛條件，如起步、加速、上坡等，同時使發(fā)動機在最有利的工況范圍下工作；在發(fā)動機旋轉(zhuǎn)方向不變的前提下，使汽車能倒退行駛；利用空擋，中斷動力傳遞，以使發(fā)動機能夠起動、怠速，并便于變速器換擋或進行動力輸出。變速器設(shè)計的目的就是為了滿足上述的要求，使汽車在特定的工況下穩(wěn)定的工作。變速器除了要能滿足一定的使用要求外，還要保證使其和汽車能有很好的匹配性，可以提高汽車的動力性和經(jīng)濟性，保證發(fā)動機在有利的工況范圍內(nèi)工作提高汽車的使用壽命、降低能源消耗、減少汽車的使用噪聲等。當今世界各大汽車公司對無級變速器的研究都十分活躍。不久的將來，隨著電子控制技術(shù)的進一步完善，電子控制式的無級變速器可望得到廣泛的發(fā)展和應用。
