1、Unit 6When was it invented?第四課時(shí)Section B (1a1e) salty形容詞，意為“咸的；含鹽的”，是由名詞salt加上y構(gòu)成的，類(lèi)似的形容詞還有tasty，smelly，sunny，cloudy等。 Potato chips were invented by mistake.薯?xiàng)l是被無(wú)意中發(fā)明的。by mistake意為“錯(cuò)誤地；無(wú)意地”。在此短語(yǔ)中mistake要用單數(shù)形式，且前面不能用冠詞?！就卣埂縨ake a mistake犯錯(cuò)誤mistake.for.把錯(cuò)認(rèn)為 The customer was happy in the end.最后顧客滿(mǎn)意了。in

2、 the end意為“最后，最終”，相當(dāng)于at last/finally。eg：They were out of danger in the end.最后他們脫險(xiǎn)了。【拓展】in the end不能與of連用，可放在句首，也可放在句末。at the end of.后接地點(diǎn)名詞，表示“在的盡頭”；后接時(shí)間名詞，表示“在結(jié)束時(shí)”。eg：at the end of the road/month在這條路/這個(gè)月的盡頭by the end of意為“在以前，到為止”，常與將來(lái)時(shí)態(tài)或過(guò)去完成時(shí)態(tài)連用。eg：By the end of last month，we had learnt over ten En
