As 作連詞，引導(dǎo)了時間狀語從句。還可以引導(dǎo)時間、原因、方式、讓步等狀語從句。 1） 當(dāng)……時候 相當(dāng)與when/while，引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句。但as較強(qiáng)調(diào)主句從句中的動作同時發(fā)生。 2） 隨著 As time went on, many changes took place in my village. 3） 因為，由于 We don’t know what to do as we were just visiting there. 4） 按照，如同 方式狀語從句 You ought to do as Paul tells you. 5） 盡管，雖然 讓步狀語從句 引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句中，要用倒裝，即把作表語的名詞或形容詞及作狀語的副詞放在句首（名詞前不能加冠詞）；有時，把謂語部分的動詞原形提前。 Child as he is, he knows a lot. Why they suddenly disappered still remaines a mystery. remain: ⑴ vi. 留下；剩下 ⑵ link.v +n. /adj. / to be done 依然不變，繼續(xù)，保持 e.g. Where he has gone remains a mystery. The door remained locked. It sounds like a good idea,but it remains to be seen whether it will succed. The fact remains to be proved. remaining adj. 剩下的，作前置定語 ，用法同the rest of ; left 作“剩下的”講時。作后 置定語 e.g. He bought a gift for his daughter ,using the remaining money/ the rest of (his ) money/ the money left. 7. We shall feel its gravity pulling us, but it will not be as strong a pull as the earth’s. ⑴ as + adj. +a/an + n.+ as 和......一樣 We have as big a house as our neighbour’s. ⑵ as +adj./adv.+ as He drove as fast as he could. ⑶ as + much +a/an+n.+as To hold the Olympic Games is just as much a competition among countries as to win an Olympic medal.
