Learn how to use the useful structures of the text like : like to do sth, be from ,hope to do sth , go to the beach, in the picture3. Learn to talk about ones favorite holidays in English.4. Learn to write a e-mail in English after learning the text.Teaching important points1. To learn the key words and phrases : excited ,Australia ,hope ,yours ,go to the beach2. Understand the meaning of the text and can read it till freely.Teaching difficult points:1. Learn how to use the sentences structures : like to do sth, be from ,hope to do sth 2. Key sentences: I am so excited. I like to go swimming in summer. She is from Australia.I hope to go to Australia and see Anne next Christmas.Teaching method :listening, speaking, reading and practicingTeaching Aids: audiotape, flashcardsTeaching procedure:Step1: Warming up:1) Greetings. Greet the students with everyday English 2) Have a simple revision about this unit had learned:How many seasons are there in a year? What are they?How many months are there in a year? What are they?How many dates are there in a week? What are they?How is the weather today?Step2: Preview Checking:1) Translate the following:去游泳 去沙灘 希望做某事 假日快樂 2) Complete the sentences according to the requirementThe summer holiday is coming。Im so (感到興奮的)I dont like hot w very muchThe (沙灘) of Dalian is beautiful,I often go there with my familyMy best friend comes from A She is an AustralianStep3: Research and explanation.1) Listen and fill in the table: What are the summer months in Canada and Australia?CanadaAustralia 2) Listen to the tape about the text again and try to answer the following questions:Who writes to Wang Mei?Whats the date today?Is Jenny from Australia?Is December a winter month in Australia?3) Read the text carefully and write true(T) or false(F)Jenny likes cold weather.( )Jenny likes to go swimming in summer.( )Anne is a girl from Australia. ( )Jenny wants to go to Australia in July.( )4) Read the text carefully again and find out the useful phrases of the text, try to understand the meaning of the whole text.5) Follow to repeat the e-mail for several times till freely.Step4: Extension.1) Christmas is coming.(be+ving 可用現(xiàn)在進行時表示將來時,常見動詞有e leave.arrive.get,etc.)2)I am so excited.(excited&exciting :excited形容詞。意為“激動的,興奮的”,常用來描述人的心理感受,其主語通常是人;exciting也是形容詞,意為“令人興奮的,令人動的”,常用來指事物的特點。)3) I also like to go to the beach (like to do sth. 喜愛做某事(某一時間的傾向);like doing sth. 喜愛做某事(經(jīng)常性、習(xí)慣性的行為))4)She is from Australia.(be from=come from來自)5)I hope to go to the Australia next Christmas.(hope+動詞不定式,即hope to do sth,意為“希望做某事”)Step5: Internal transformation:1. They are (excite)at Jennys birthday party.2. I hope (be) your good friend. 3.在夏天,我喜歡去沙灘。 4.你能看到照片里的男孩嗎? 5.我的弟弟喜歡在河里游泳。 Step6: Summary: What have you learned from this lesson?Step7: Homework Supermarket:1) Master the new words and phrases of the text, and try to remember by heart;2) Understand the meaning of the text and can read it till fluently and freely;3) Imagine you are Wang Mei. Write an e-mail back to Jenny. In the e-mail, try to answer all of Jennys questions.4) Preview lesson43.
