①Write “I remember…” and some expressions on the blackboard.
②Read the poem and get the students to add more things about “I remember…”
in the poem.

③Read aloud the poem.Get them to know it is a poem.Its main subject is

2.Finish the tasks in 3b-3c
①Read the poem again and tell the students to pay attention to the words that
have the same rhyme.
②Write the words in 3b on their own.
③Check the answers.Get the students to read aloud the words.
④Read the instructions in 3c.Get the students to feel the things about
themselves.Then read the poem and discuss with the class.
3.Finish Grammar Focus
①Read aloud the sentences in the grammar frame until fluently.Think about the
tenses,the structures:used to,have+done,will+do,be going to+do,remember
+doing,look forward to+doing.
②Ask students to make some sentences with the structures.
③Give some exercises.Practice with students.
4.Finish the task in 4a
①Students read the sentences quickly and get the main ideas of it.Asking:Who
is the writer?
②Get the students to put these sentences in the correct order and think:Is there a
time line?What is the time line?
③Ask some students to read aloud the paragraph.
5.Finish the task in 4b
① Read questions in 4b.Understand the meaning of them.
②Tell them to focus on the tenses and ask some students the questions.
③Students finish the task in groups.
④Ask them to put their answers into a passage.Then each group reports and
reads aloud the passage.

In this period,we review the past tense,present perfect tense,the future tense
and the structures “used to,be going to,look forward to and remember doing”.We
will learn some new words and expressions to write some sentences about the life in
junior high school,so it is necessary to get the students to practice the new words and
structures and discuss their memories and future life.
