All hopes was not lost. 用法:表示”全體”意義的代詞、形容詞或副詞,如all, both, every, everything, everybody, everywhere 等,與否定副詞not連用可構(gòu)成部分否定。 Eg. All the students in the class havent seen him. Both of the boys arent good at English. Everybody doesnt know it. This flower is not seen everywhere.注意:否定詞not也可置于句首. Not all the students in the class have seen him. Not both of the boys are good at English. Not everybody knows it. 6. a number of 和the number of 的用法區(qū)別:a number of 修飾 _,謂語動詞也用_ ,可以變成_.the number of _,修飾了名次之后be動詞用單數(shù)。Eg.
