Unit3 Grammar 一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)1. 認(rèn)識(shí)并理解與機(jī)器人有關(guān)的詞匯。2. 進(jìn)一步談?wù)摍C(jī)器人能做的事情,談?wù)摍C(jī)器人各部件的功能。二、教學(xué)內(nèi)容1. 掌握詞匯:pill, unsure, forgetful stair。詞組:talk on the phone, be busy with, all kinds of housework, come back from work, go on a business trip, a serious heart problem, poor memory, remind sb. of sth., feel lonely, go up and down the stairs, lock the door, take a walk, in order to do, enough.to do, so.that。句型:(1)He saw that the robot was making breakfast.=He saw the robot making breakfast.(2)He thinks that it is too much trouble to own a robot.=He thinks it too much trouble to own a robot.(3)Mr. Jiang did not know what he should do with the robot.=Mr. Jiang did not know what to do with the robot.(4)The robot is smart enough to do a lot of things for Mr. Jiang.=The robot is so smart that it can do a lot of things for Mr. Jiang.三、重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)1. 正確熟練地運(yùn)用賓語(yǔ)從句。2. 掌握簡(jiǎn)單句和復(fù)合句之間的轉(zhuǎn)換。3. 掌握賓語(yǔ)從句中疑問(wèn)詞+不定式的句式。4. 掌握so that (so.that)句型和too.to /(not)enough.to句型之間的轉(zhuǎn)換。四、教學(xué)過(guò)程Step 1 RevisionReview object clauses introduced by “that”.Step 2 Learning the Part A1. Tell students that when object clauses express a declarative sentence, we should use “that” to introduce object clauses. And it can be omitted. Ask students to read the sentences on page 42 and tell which is matrix clause and which is object clauses. E.g. :He saw that the robot was making breakfast. “He saw” is matrix clause and “the robot was making breakfast” is object clause.2. Remind students that we can use “object + object complements” to replace object clauses.E.g.: He found that his flat was in a complete mess.He found his flat in a complete mess.3. Ask students to do the exercise on P42 in pairs or on their own. Check the answers with the whole class.Step 3 Learning the Part BShow the two sentences:1. The robot no longer knew when it should cook breakfast.2. The robot no longer knew when to cook breakfast.Explain to students that we can use “question words + to-infinitives” to express “object clauses”Then ask the students to do the exercise in pairs; Then check their answers with the whole class.Step 4 Learning Part CShow two sentences:1. The robot is so smart that it can do a lot of things for Mr. Jiang.2. The robot is smart enough to do a lot of things for Mr. Jiang.And then show: so. that + sentences = too. to do sth. = enough to do, so that+ sentences = in order to do sth.Remind that we can use “ to-infinitives” to replace some adverbial clauses.Ask the students to work on their own to complete the sentences on P44 using “ to-infinitives ” to replace some adverbial clauses; Then check their answers with the class.Step 5 ConclusionThe students go through the knowledge according to the big screen.Step 6 Homework1.
