I intended to get to my destination before supper time及后面的without a stop可以推測,作者開得很快,因此選quickly。3D從本句中的after driving for many miles及became tired可知,作者需要稍作休息以恢復(fù)精力,故選refreshed。

5C從本段最后一句中的人稱代詞they,以及第四段第一句中的she and her husband可推斷此處應(yīng)該選couple。 7A從后面的they were waiting for us以及標(biāo)點符號(感嘆號)可知,作者是感到驚奇。 8B從第四段最后一句中的they wanted to make sure that I got safely back on my way可知此處意為:他們想看著作者和她女兒安全回到車上。

11B從后面的there was any possibility of something going wrong可知此處應(yīng)用dangers。

That makes them more focused, and they look forward to class time.

、nts who choose their own books might be cheating themselves by picking books that are not up to their reading level or that are too difficult. The students wouldnt be able to hold a meaningful conversation if they were all reading different books看出Kristin和Sarah對新方法的態(tài)度是一樣的。20

根據(jù)第一段第二句可知原因:drawn(對應(yīng)選項中的attracted)by the “Great American Dream”,由此可知應(yīng)選B。 第二段第一句告訴我們,推銷員之死是對美國制度的有力的抨擊,也就是選項A所說的:揭露了美國商業(yè)世界的殘酷(exposes the cruelty of the American business world)。
