4、n to write seven sentences. d. Imitate the structure of the travel journal. III. Teaching Procedures: Step I: Preparation Activities Intentions Time 1. Present some photos of famous writers at home and abroad . 2. Do you write to your E-friends nowadays? 1. It’s just warming up aimed at
5、 getting the students turn to today’s subject——writing. 2. Get the students to know the meaning and necessity of writing. 3 mins. a. T: Who can tell me who they are and what their representative works are? Ss: Han Han, a popular writer nowadays. We don’t know the other two. T: Jia Pingwa
6、and Earnest Hemingway. He is an American writer who once won the Nobel Prize in literature… b. T: We may not become great writers in the world in the future, yet we need to communicate with our friends nowadays by writing something sometimes, especially to our E-friends. So, for us, being able to w
7、rite correct sentences is important. By asking these two questions, get the students focus on the writing topic —a short email. Step II: Presentation and practice Process Activities Intentions Time Pre-writing Students watch the video about the Mekong in Laos. Have a general idea about Lao
8、s. 2 mins. a. T: From the video clip, what can you see about the Laos? Ss: the Mekong river, the Laotians like dancing, their clothes and high mountains. T: Although we have never been to Laos,don’t worry about that. I’ll guide you .We just try to describe what we’ve seen with the sentences we

13、mparison between two things using the words LIKE or AS, for example, His eyes were as blue as the sea. 14、ed in long wool coats stopped to look at us. Ss: The phrase “dressed in” seems good. ☆T: Yes. When in junior, you seldom use such a pattern. This is what we call past participle used as attribute, which equals “who were dressed in …” In this way the sentences will be short but more powerful. Now
