1、predicative clause,Karen Wang,一、表語從句的定義：,The question is who will do it.,系動詞,表語從句,表語從句放在連系動詞之后，充當復(fù)合句中的表語。,二、表語從句的構(gòu)成：,（系動詞）+ 引導(dǎo)詞+簡單句,What I want to say is that I am tired.,引導(dǎo)詞,表語從句,系動詞亦稱連系動詞（Link Verb），作為系動詞，它本身有詞義，但不能單獨用作謂語，后邊必須跟表語 （亦稱補語），構(gòu)成系表結(jié)構(gòu)說明主語的狀況、性質(zhì)、特征等情況。,三、引導(dǎo)表語從句的關(guān)聯(lián)詞的種類：,可接表語從句的連系動詞有be（is, a
2、m, are, was, were）, look, seem, sound, appear等。,The question is whether they will help us.,問題是他們是否會幫我們.,The problem is when we can get a pay rise.,問題是什么時候我們可以得到加薪.,聽起來好像有人在敲門。,從屬連詞whether, as, as if / though 引導(dǎo)的表語從句,The question is whether the film is worth watching.,問題是這部電影是否值得一看。,It sounds as if s
3、omeone is knocking at the door.,because, why 引導(dǎo)的表語從句,Thats because he didnt understand me. 那是因為他沒有理解我。,reason作主語時，后面的表語從句表示原因時要用 that引導(dǎo)，不用because。,The reason why I was sad was that he didnt understand me. 我難過的原因是他沒有理解我。,連接代詞who, whom, whose, what, which, whoever, whatever, whichever 連接副詞 where, when
