一. 教材分析:
本課內(nèi)容是Sarah的日記,主要記錄小貓的成長(zhǎng)過程。學(xué)生經(jīng)過月份學(xué)習(xí)和日期的表達(dá)后,通過日記的形式來記錄生活中有趣的事情。本課以小貓咪為例,為小朋友展示了小動(dòng)物從出生到長(zhǎng)大的整個(gè)生命歷程,滲透生命意識(shí)和親情教育。本節(jié)課教學(xué)重點(diǎn)在于閱讀方法的指導(dǎo)、表達(dá)的訓(xùn)練,如何從文中獲取有效信息。通過學(xué)習(xí),能了解日記的格式,并模仿著寫,嘗試記錄有意義的事情。
二.教學(xué)目標(biāo):
(一)知識(shí)、水平目標(biāo):
1. 能夠聽、說、讀、理解kitten,fur, still 和make noises等生詞。
2. 能讀懂并理解日記,
2、能按意群準(zhǔn)確地朗讀日記。
3. 能根據(jù)圖片展開對(duì)小貓生長(zhǎng)情況的想象,用They are…They can …They can’t等句型來介紹。在閱讀中嘗試捕捉關(guān)鍵詞,尋找答案。
4. 能模仿日記的格式寫一篇其他動(dòng)植物的生長(zhǎng)日記。
(二)情感態(tài)度目標(biāo):
1. 能理解小貓咪的成長(zhǎng)過程,進(jìn)而了解更多動(dòng)、植物的成長(zhǎng),增長(zhǎng)見識(shí)。
2. 能在學(xué)習(xí)過程中感受日記的格式及表達(dá)方法。
三.教學(xué)重難點(diǎn):
重點(diǎn):讀懂Sarah的日記,了解小貓長(zhǎng)大的歷程,閱讀策略的培養(yǎng)。
難點(diǎn):對(duì)小動(dòng)物、植物從孕育到出生,從出生到長(zhǎng)大的生命歷程有一定的背景了解。
四.教學(xué)過程
Step 1 Warming up

Step2 Presentation and practice
1. How can we keep memories? Learn the word diary/diaries.
2. Watch a video and answer two questions about how the kittens grow.
Learn kittens and review dates.

4. Listen and choose the right pictures.
5. Read the 2nd diary and answer three questions.
How old are they?
What are they like? Learn fur
What can they do? Learn make noises
6. Read other diaries and circle the key words with different signs.
7. Discuss

8. Check the answers on the blackboard.
9. Try to repeat the diaries according to the pictures.
Step3 consolidation
1. Enjoy the growing up of some animals and plants.
2. Discuss and complete John’s diary about frogs in group work.

1. Make the 3rd diary of Sarah’s longer
2. Try to keep diaries about growing.
eg: silkworm or bean sprout.
3. Know more about how animals or plants grow.
