Dictate the new words and expressions of last lesson. 2. Ask the students “Who usually does the chores at your home? Do you share the housework? 1. Ask the students to read the story about Nancy and her mother .Find out the answer to this question “What did Nancy’ mother ask her to do one day last month when she came home from school?” 2. Ask the students to read the questions in 3a, then find the answers to the questions. 3. Ask the students to read the sentences in 3b and finish the task. 4. Let the students find out the points they don’t know and explain the points to them in details. Ask the students to read the statements and responses in the Grammar Focus, explain “could”. Point out the answers to the questions. Use “can” and“can’t”. 1. Ask the students to read the questions in 4a. Then let them give correct answers and check. 2. Ask the students to plete 4b individually. Then check the answers in pairs or in groups. 3. Ask the students to read the model conversation and the instructions in 4c. Discuss who will do them and plete the chart. Write a short passage about their camping trip, according to the information in 4c. 1. Write down the correct words. 2. Talk about the topic with the teacher. Share their opinions with the class. 1. Read the story as quickly as they can and find the answer to the question. 2. Read the story again and answer the questions. 3. Underline the sentences from the reading that mean the same thing. 4. Share their questions and take notes carefully. Read through the Grammar Focus and pay attention the use of can or can’t. 1. Macth each question with the correct response. 2. Fill in the blanks in the conversation. 3. Make a list of things their group needs to do for a camping trip. To give Ss the opportunity to practice a longer conversation using the target language. To give Ss practice in reading for specific information. To help students understand that we can say the same thing in different ways. To focus on words that are both verbs and nouns. To review the target language for making polite requests and asking for permission. To provide the opportunity for Ss to practice the target language in a different situation.
